Graduates can start the licensing process by completing the examination, which is split into two parts.  Upon graduation the Fundamentals of Engineering exam can be taken. If passed, the student is considered an engineer in training. After gaining work experience in the field, the Principles and Practice of Engineering exam is taken to become an Engineer
